First Big Snowstorm

Walked around downtown last evening and shot some scenes. Went back to the Miss Portland Diner and tried to re-create the image I did a number of years ago, with little success. The new location is nowhere near as cool as the old one. Blah.
However, I've always wanted to shoot these row houses just off Franklin Arterial and across from ReStore. 30 second exposure at around f16 in the freezing cold. I was numb but loving it. I hope you dig.

My new toy.

I've been looking for a small rangefinder to carry around with me, but couldn't seem to afford a Leica! I found this on Craigslist and had to have it. This reminds me of my grandmother who traveled the world with these little rangefinders and brought back great shots. Pics from the Yashinca Electro 35 GSN to come.

My first upload.

Greetings friends. Here is my first photo uploaded to this here blog thingy. I hope you dig.

This shot was taken in Old Orchard Beach Maine on New Years night of 2008. The sleet and snow were coming down pretty heavy and I had a hell of a time keeping my lens clean. Came out pretty cool for being around 10pm in the evening.

Here is Old Orchard again, but this was in the daytime.
